A double amputee participates in a Tough Mudder competition with fellow British forces personnel. The team showed up in gas masks, completed the competition with them on, and left without unmasking.
(Tough Mudder is an adventure sports company that hosts 10-12 mile endurance event obstacle courses designed by British Special Forces to test all around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie that are billed as “probably the toughest event on the planet” and regularly attract 15-20,000 participants over a two day weekend.
Tough Mudder is a major partner of the Wounded Warrior Project. Participants are given a discount to Tough Mudder events once they raise $150 or more for the charity. To date, Tough Mudder participants have raised more than $3 million dollars.)
